ESADE'S Entrepreneurship Centre takes in various activities carried on in the School's Company Creation and Family Business areas. Each year, the centre launches around 80 student business projects, trains 600 students taking ESADE's Combined Undergraduate & Master in Programme, as well as carrying out research and participating in international congresses and meetings.
Set up in 1997, the Centre's mission is to foster and disseminate an entrepreneurial culture among ESADE's student body and programme participants. The aim is to impart the knowledge and skills needed to set up one's own business.
The Entrepreneurship Centre also make various resources available to ESADE alumni in order to encourage company creation:
- Technology Launch Pad Network
The Technology Launch Pad Network was set up to finance university students' technology-based business projects. The initiative is the product of an agreement between CIDEM (an institution run by the Catalan government) and various Catalan universities and business schools (including ESADE). ESADE was the sixth institution to sign the accord. Its purpose in doing so was twofold: (1) to foster an entrepreneurial spirit among its student, and (2) to provide funding and managerial support to entrepreneurs who have recently embarked upon technology-based business projects.
- ESADE MBA new business project competition
A yearly contest is organized to recognize the best business plans devised by ESADE MBA programme students, who are distinguished with the ESADE-BDO Award for Business Creation.
- ESADE's Entrepreneurs Forum
The forum is held annually and is a joint initiative by ESADE's Alumni Association and the Entrepreneurship Centre. It provides entrepreneurs and investors with the opportunity of backing innovative projects with good growth potential.
