ESADE's Business Information Centre (CIE) provides specialized business information searches over the Internet, as well as dissemination of and advice and training on business web resources.

The Business Information Centre gives individual attention to queries made by the School's faculty, other staff, and ESADE students. It also provides services to external users (companies, consultancies, alumni and researchers), giving advice and guidance as to the most suitable web resources.

The CIE is responsible for the design and management of the ESADE Guíame! Web portal, which is a unique one-stop site for information on industries and business in Spain. Its main purpose is to provide both the business and university community with information on products, companies, Spanish and international markets, and particular industries.

In December 2003, the ESADE Information Centre (CIE) presented the second version of the ESADE Guíame! portal, with the purpose of adapting its proposal to the current setting, and offering a more user-friendly service. During the first month of operations the portal received 44,500 visits, which consolidates ESADE Guíame! as the benchmark portal for business information in Spain.

In March 2004, the prestigious magazine Actualidad Económica recognized ESADE Guíame! as one of the best ideas for 2003.

The following are to be noted among ESADE Guíame! sections:

• Guíame! Flashes: A complete sectoral x-ray of Spain, together with the most relevant resources for knowledge on the economic and industrial activity of over 90 countries.
• Company Annual Reports: Access to the websites, annual reports and financial data of the top Spanish companies.
• Social Responsibility: A selection of Spanish companies that provide information on their social responsibility, environmental and sustainable development actions, while also featuring annual reports on CSR, the environment and sustainability (with the collaboration of ESADE's Institute for the Individual, Corporations and Society).
• Sectoral Library: An extensive directory of sectoral information sources in Spain (professional associations, magazines, market studies, trade shows, institutions and information centres).
• The Best for the Company: The most useful thematic selection of Internet resources for economists and businesspersons.
